Welcome to DOPAMONEY. By creating an account or using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

What DOPAMONEY is

DOPAMONEY is a productivity application that allows you to stake small amounts of real money ($1-$5) on tasks you commit to completing by a deadline. If you complete the task, your money is returned. If you miss the deadline, your stake is forfeited to a charitable organization you selected (your "anti-cause") or transferred to a friend in duo mode.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DOPAMONEY. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and are legally able to enter into binding agreements.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

How stakes work

• When you create a staked task, the stake amount is deducted from your wallet balance and held until the task deadline.
• If you complete the task before the deadline, your stake is returned to your wallet balance.
• If the deadline passes without completion, your stake is forfeited. In solo mode, the forfeited amount is donated to your selected anti-cause organization. In duo mode, the forfeited amount is transferred to your friend's wallet balance.
• Task completion is self-reported. You are responsible for honestly marking tasks as complete.
• Stakes are non-refundable once a task deadline has passed.

Payments and wallet

• All payments are processed through Stripe. By adding funds, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• You can add funds to your wallet in preset amounts ($5, $10, $20).
• Wallet balances are not interest-bearing.
• We reserve the right to limit the maximum wallet balance and maximum stake amounts.
• Refund requests for wallet balances may be submitted by contacting us. Processing fees may apply.

Duo mode

• In duo mode, you stake money against a friend. If you miss your deadline, your stake is transferred to your friend's wallet balance.
• Your friend may grant you a one-time 30-minute extension per task.
• Both parties must have DOPAMONEY accounts to participate in duo mode.
• You may not create duo stakes with yourself or with fake accounts.

Anti-cause donations

When you forfeit a stake in solo mode, the forfeited amount is donated to the organization you selected as your anti-cause. Donations are batched and processed periodically. DOPAMONEY facilitates the donation but is not responsible for how the recipient organization uses the funds. Donation receipts are not provided by DOPAMONEY — contact the organization directly for tax purposes.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate the system
• Collude with duo mode partners to avoid legitimate forfeiture
• Attempt to reverse or dispute legitimate stake forfeitures through your bank or payment provider
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation

Premium subscription

• DOPAMONEY Premium is available as a monthly subscription at $4.99/month.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Commission

DOPAMONEY charges a commission of 5-10% on forfeited stakes. This commission is deducted before the remaining amount is donated to your anti-cause or transferred to your duo mode friend.

Intellectual property

DOPAMONEY, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.

Disclaimer

DOPAMONEY is a productivity tool, not a gambling service. Stakes are commitment devices designed to motivate task completion. DOPAMONEY is not a licensed financial institution or money transmitter. We are not responsible for any financial losses resulting from forfeited stakes — the forfeiture is the intended consequence of the product design.

DOPAMONEY is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment for ADHD or any other condition. If you are struggling with ADHD, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Limitation of liability

DOPAMONEY is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of money from forfeited stakes.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, any remaining wallet balance may be refunded minus applicable fees.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.
